Abstract

Typical examples of such techniques were the Geometrical and Physical Optics , improved by the Geometrical, Physical, and Uniform Theories of Diffraction . Later, when computers demonstrated explosive progress, numerical techniques were utilized to develop approximate results of controllable accuracy for arbitrary geometries.
