Reflective Learning in Higher Education

Abstract

The nine manuscripts in this SpecialIssue manifest that reflective learning is likely to help forge students’ professional identity andensure sustainable competences are effectively developed, transform students’ preconceivedperspectives and social preferences to foster new reasoned action plans for decision making, promote an understanding of one’s personal and professional strengths and limitations anddevelop the ability to identify resources and ways to solve existing and/or future professionalchallenges, and modify students’ beliefs, attitudes, and daily behaviour to develop competencesthat will ultimately result in promoting sustainability.
